Direct Client Services
Work in our front office answering phones, interacting with clients, organizing incoming donations, maintaining shelter operations and supporting our staff. Ideal candidates are self starters that are comfortable working in a crisis environment. Must be able to commit to a regular, scheduled shift of 3-4 hours.
Volunteers will work directly with administrative staff on a range of special projects which include but are not limited to… data entry, research, donation processing and community outreach. Volunteers must be able to commit to a regular, weekly shift to ensure the best experience for volunteers as well as staff.
Get creative! Are you a hairstylist? Lawyer? Photographer? We’d love to hear your ideas and utilize your unique skill set.
This is a fun volunteer opportunity for extroverts or those looking to network, and each event experience is different. Help represent our shelter by connecting with community members at our booths and fundraising events.
Put those special skills to work as a committee member! Committees are as follows: Development & Marketing, Finance, Events (Fresh StART, Champions), and Strategic Planning.
Donation Pick Up
These volunteers are willing to pick up donations as needed. Donations range from canned food to furniture and so access to a large vehicle would be helpful, but not necessary. This is an urgent volunteer need!
Retail experience or not, this diverse volunteer opportunity is a perfect match! Work in our Thrift Store processing donations, interacting with customers or working the register. Thrift Store hours of operations Mon – Sat, 10AM – 6PM.
