Thrift Store Manager

The Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter Thrift Store manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the store, including, but not limited to, staff and volunteer management; financial oversight; donation processing; visual merchandising; customer service; and marketing and community engagement. The Thrift Store Manager positively promotes and is dedicated to the mission of the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter. Shelter Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Shelter Manager to lead our shelter operations. The Shelter Manager is responsible for the overall 24/7 day-to-day operations of the shelter, implementing programs that provide emergency, temporary refuge and a range of activities and services designed to support the individual, family, and social needs of domestic violence survivors, their children, and/or dependents.

This position oversees the advocate team, providing direct supervision and training. It provides oversight to in-house clients utilizing trauma-informed services to victims of domestic abuse and their children, which includes support, advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning, parenting support, information, and referrals.

Weekend Advocate

This position works overnights every other weekend. The overnight advocate answers incoming crisis calls and provides information and referrals about services and community resources. Completes paperwork upon admission and/or departures of clients/families. Provides one-on-one advocacy and case management to clients/families receiving services. Works together with other team members to ensure clients follow guidelines and safety procedures. Performs routine chores and cleaning tasks assigned to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the shelter facility. Performs other duties as assigned.
