Outreach (Non-Residential) Services

Our Outreach Client Services exist for those who do not want or need to stay in our shelter during their recovery from domestic violence. Even if clients do not need to stay in our shelter, they are often still seeking valuable resources. We are a community of people who understand and care about our clients and are able to educate and guide them as they process their abuse. Our team at The Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter and our Community Partners are able to help them navigate the complicated emotions and decisions that they face after the abuse and can effectively help meet these needs through our Outreach Non-Residential Services.

“NWAWS offers more than some other women’s shelters. We are not worrying about making it check to check. We are now living and enjoying life.”

Outreach clients can still access many of our programs and services, such as our therapeutic yoga classes, therapeutic art classes, financial literacy classes, Legal Aid clinics and court advocacy, Medicaid informational clinics, and other resources. Additionally, outreach clients can access our individual therapeutic services or support group services.

All outreach clients are paired with one of our advocates for support, goal planning, safety planning, helpful resources in the community, and referrals for their needs. Our advocates will help educate outreach clients on what domestic violence looks like and how to process their experience.
